About Caroline

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Master Jungian Life Coach, Certified Trauma-Informed Breathwork Facilitator, and Certified TRE Provider, I specialize in guiding individuals on a holistic journey toward inner alignment, empowerment, and personal growth.

I offer a dynamic approach that is grounded in the interconnectedness of your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, as you seek a deeper connection with your Self.

My mission is to guide you on a journey of self-discovery, empowering you to break free from negative cycles, tap into your intuition, and create a life that resonates with your true desires.

My approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the complexities of the human experience. I blend therapeutic modalities with empowering coaching methodologies and the power of breathwork to offer you a comprehensive toolkit for transformation.

As a therapist, I deeply believe in the transformative power of therapy. I've also come to understand that talk therapy alone may not be for every body, and may not always address the deeply rooted energy and trauma stored within the body. That's where somatic practices like Breathwork and TRE® play a vital role. These practices facilitate profound release, helping individuals process past trauma and negative patterns that may be holding them back.

My personal journey with breathwork opened my eyes to its transformative potential across all levels—mentally, physically, and spiritually. From my very first session, I felt its undeniable power resonate within every cell of my being. This experience propelled me to embark on my own healing and awakening journey, and now, I'm committed to guiding others on a similar path through breath.

Continually seeking to expand my knowledge and understanding of healing modalities, I advocate for a holistic, mind-body approach in my practice. By integrating somatic techniques with talk therapy, we can address both the mental and physical aspects of trauma together. This collaborative process allows us to release limiting beliefs and negative thought patterns, creating space for healing and transformation. By reprogramming the nervous system and rewriting our internal narratives, we can align with our highest selves and step into our true essence.

Throughout my own healing journey, I've learned firsthand the importance of integrating talk therapy with somatic healing modalities. I've witnessed the profound impact of releasing stored trauma from the body—a process that ultimately leads to freedom and authenticity. Drawing from my personal experiences and professional expertise, I have specialized in supporting children and teens navigating their parents' divorce or separation. Having navigated my own parents' divorce and worked with families in similar situations for over a decade, I understand the complexities and emotions involved at every stage of development.

In addition to supporting children and teens, I also work closely with college students, adults, and parents, offering guidance and support as they navigate their own healing journey amidst the twists and turns of life. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing space where individuals and families can heal, grow, and rediscover their inner strength.

I invite you to embark on your own healing journey, to release what's been stuck within you, and to awaken your soul. Together, let's step into your authentic and empowered self. I am here to guide you as you uncover the wisdom within yourself.

The ocean is my happy place and where I reconnect and rejuvenate.

One of my self-care practices is getting back to Maui and the Hawaiian Islands at least once a year. This allows my soul to reconnect with the island and the Aloha I discovered and enveloped years ago when I planted my roots on Maui and lived out my 20’s.

After years of traveling and living in different states and climates, I planted my roots in Oregon and have been here for the past 16 years. There is no denying the Oregon coast and the Hawaiian Islands are both majestic and healing in their own unique, breathtaking, and beautiful ways.

I often tell my clients to find a place or activity that feeds their soul and revisit that space as often as you can. Whether that is physically, mentally, emotionally, visually, or energetically. Or all of the above!

I love spontaneous excursions and exploring new places with my partner, and our two love-filled, wild & free, compassionate & courageous sweet boys, our much loved puppy, and dear friends. We all enjoy taking time out of the daily responsibilities of life every so often to enjoy a mental health day together.

If you haven’t incorporated mental health days into your life/work/balance routine… get started now! We all need mental health days. Children, teens, parents, professionals… all of us! Take one, you won’t regret it.

Finding the balance between helping others and self care is where I flow and continue to grow. As most of us know, self care isn’t always easy, especially for caregivers and those in the helping field. But, it’s essential to show up for others feeling grounded and present. I am always learning and building upon my own self care practices so I can continue to support others and help them connect with their own inner harmony.

Why Soul of the Lotus

The lotus flower begins its growth from its roots deep in the mud and murky waters of the earth, far away from the sun. With perseverance, the lotus continues to rise up through the mud and the muck, emerges from the water, rises up to the light of the sun, and blossoms into the world.

The lotus offers hope and strength to those struggling in their daily lives. It shows us that we too, as humans, can rise up from the “mud” in our own lives, overcome difficulties, and connect to the light that radiates within us.

As living beings, I view humans in the same light as the lotus and work from this framework with my clients. I offer my clients a safe space to explore their uniqueness as they begin and continue their process of growth. By being present with my clients, I support them as they navigate and pave their way through the hardships and struggles they are encountering.

Using one’s own innate healing wisdom, we are able to to release, heal, grow, and transform. We are able to root into our inner self, heal from the inside out, align with our highest self, and transform into who we are meant to be in this lifetime. This process allows the discovery of inner strength, self-love, and the emergence into one’s true, authentic self.

Counseling Background ::

I received my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark Graduate School. I specialized in children, adolescents, and adults using a variety of individual and group counseling modalities. My experience has been working with children, adolescents, and adults who have witnessed and/or experienced divorce, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, grief, loss, depression, domestic violence, self-esteem and self-worth issues.

I have also worked with children and teens, in both shelter and residential treatment facilities, who were experiencing serious to severe emotional and behavioral difficulties combined with other needs. In addition, I have supported teenage girls and boys recovering from substance abuse in an outpatient treatment center, as well as adult women in an inpatient chemical dependency treatment residence.

Therapeutic Approach ::

My style is supportive, interactive, compassionate and warm, with a splash of humor. As individuals, I believe we all have the innate ability to heal and to grow, and sometimes just need a safe space and extra support as we reflect and process where we're at. Children, adolescents, and young adults may struggle, act out or shut down completely when trying to emotionally process big changes and challenges in their life. Often, it is difficult for them to express themselves to a parent, friend, or loved one. I support my clients and families who are struggling with these changes and who may also be experiencing other responses to the unexpected challenges of life.

Integrating the well-being of the mind & body connection has been shown to be healing and restorative.  When appropriate and useful, I often integrate creative therapy techniques such as: mindfulness, expressive arts therapy, Yoga Calm®, breathwork, and other somatic and creative modalities within the therapeutic process to help oneself open up in ways that allow freedom of expression. This can help facilitate an inner awareness of personal strengths, insight and support. It also enables self-expression throughout the process of discovering new ways to overcome one's own struggles. I also have a pup, Zeya, who is an amazing listener and loves to help others through their process.

Every individual deserves to feel accepted, valued, and safe. My aim is for my clients to experience a sense of belonging and shared understanding in the therapy process. I make every effort to create an inclusive environment for all people along their journey. I work from an inclusive, social justice framework and anti-oppressive lens, free from discrimination and stigmatization. I am continually growing and actively learning in my own anti-oppression work.

Coaching Approach ::

In my journey as a therapist, I've had the privilege of witnessing clients overcome significant challenges and emotional obstacles. I've seen them evolve and transform, emerging with a newfound sense of strength and self-worth.

While my passion lies in working with teens and young adults in a therapy setting, my journey led me to embrace another passion: coaching. As a life coach, I am dedicated to supporting parents and adults as they navigate the complexities of life. For parents, this may involve finding balance amidst the highs and lows of parenthood, while adults may be seeking guidance through life transitions and challenges, ready to embark on a transformative journey towards alignment with their purpose.

Through coaching, clients have the opportunity to explore different facets of themselves and their lives in a goal-oriented and present-focused manner. Together, we delve into deep introspection, empowering clients to navigate their next chapter with clarity and purpose. Coaching offers a dynamic space for growth and transformation, allowing clients to embrace their full potential as they step boldly into the future.

Some of the life changes my clients have experienced include breaking through intergenerational cycles and inherited relational patterns, navigating career transitions, discovering their true self and life’s purpose, overcoming imposter syndrome and negative limiting beliefs, therapists beginning a new private practice, achieving overall health and wellbeing, navigating relationship changes such as separation or divorce, marriage, welcoming a new baby, and so much more.

Working with clients in a coaching setting allows me to tap into various modalities and approach their needs from a different perspective. I thrive on changing things up and embracing diversity in my approach, helping clients break through boundaries and barriers that may have seemed insurmountable.

Are you ready to step outside your comfort zone and into the life you dream of? I believe you are, and I'm here to help you unlock your inner power and create a life that resonates with your deepest desires and aspirations.
